Berlin – a Different Germany
It was the second time I visited Berlin in one year, but despite being a different time of the year the weather was exactly the same - rainy.
It was pouring down in July as well as December, but perhaps we were just extremely unlucky.
However, I do not blame the weather conditions on Berlin, and it did not really dampen the experience anyway.
This time we were equipped for any weather, so with our bright colored wind and rain proof jackets we spent two lovely weeks in Berlin.
We have written two travel blogs so far on our experiences, from the Christmas markets to the food tastings - but not yet our impressions of the place.
We have never had as many days before in any other city to explore its small corners as now, so it was a huge opportunity to see what Berlin has to offer.
Unlike many other cities though, I soon realized that Berlin is not a city which you can "finish", it is not a city you can really "tick off your list", because it is ever changing.
It did not matter that we spent two weeks in Berlin, we still did not do everything there is to do or saw everything there is to see - and the fact is that those things change anyway.
You will read my travel blog about Berlin recommending a certain area, but by the time you get there another area will be the new hip place to visit.
There will always be the obvious attractions like the TV tower, Brandenburg gate, East Side Gallery and so on, but the small streets and corners, quirky things you can only find if you are not looking for them - will always change, which is why it will be different 10 years from now, 5 years, well maybe even 1 year from now.

How to Reach the Island of Mykonos
