Purchasing A New Spa Tub
When you purchase your spa, especially if its from a dealer of top-notch brands like Balboa, Caldera, and Sundance, you'll be given a kit that will be all you'll need for the initial chemical maintenance. Your first tests is to determine and adjust, if needed, the pH level of the water. The ideal pH range for proper water balance is between 7.2 to 7.8. If your pH is not in this range then adjust as needed with either pH up or pH down to bring the pH level back to its ideal range.
Other chemicals to include in your supply are items used to reduce stain and scale accumulation. These should be added per supplier guidelines. Along with these chemical compounds, you will need to add a h2o clarifier. The quantity of these that you will have to add to your spa will rarely be much more than an ounce or two. Regular use of these will decrease the quantity of film at the water line.
